Structural CAD Design Engineer

Role Description The Structural CAD Design Engineer is a full-time role responsible for developing detailed engineering drawings and CAD models for structural steel, industrial roofing, and related components. The role is hybrid, based in Madgaon, with the option for some work-from-home flexibility depending on project needs. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting client and project requirements, preparing design layouts, producing fabrication and erection drawings, and coordinating with project engineers and site teams for constructability and accuracy. The engineer will review and update designs to reflect site conditions, support material take-offs and bill of quantities, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety guidelines. The role also involves collaborating with fabrication and execution teams, resolving design-related queries, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and templates.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Engineering Drawings and Design Engineering for structural and fabrication projects.
Candidates should possess strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D and 3D modeling and detailing.
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design to support practical and efficient structural solutions.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in steel fabrication, structural detailing, or industrial roofing projects is highly beneficial.
Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, standards, and construction drawings.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.
Effective communication skills and comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including coordination with on-site teams in Madgaon.
