Design Intern

Role Description The Design Intern role at Studio Liminal is a part-time position based in Ahmedabad with a hybrid work model, combining on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. On a day-to-day basis, the intern will support the team with design concept development, preparing visual presentations, and assisting in drafting architectural and graphic layouts. Responsibilities include conducting design and contextual research, creating and refining graphics for projects and communication materials, and producing CAD drawings or digital models under guidance. The intern will also help organize project files, participate in design reviews, and contribute ideas to improve visual quality and consistency across studio outputs.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in visual design, including Graphic Design and Graphics for presentations, diagrams, and communication materials.
Interest and basic training in Architecture, with the ability to translate spatial concepts into clear visual and technical representations.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for drafting, modeling, and developing design documentation.
Ability to conduct structured Research to inform design concepts, site studies, user needs, and material or precedent exploration.
Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and common CAD platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar).
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in architecture, design, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and a portfolio demonstrating relevant academic or project work.
