Role Description The Site Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Ranchi, responsible for overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring work is executed as per design, quality standards, and safety protocols. This role includes monitoring labor and subcontractors, coordinating with engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders, and maintaining site documentation such as work logs, material records, and progress reports. The Site Supervisor will schedule and allocate tasks, track project milestones, identify and resolve on-site issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company guidelines. The role also involves conducting regular inspections, enforcing health and safety measures, reporting progress to project managers, and supporting timely completion of work within budget.
Qualifications
Strong site supervision and construction management skills, with experience overseeing day-to-day activities on civil or infrastructure projects.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications, and ensure work aligns with approved plans and quality standards.
Knowledge of safety regulations, risk management practices, and ability to enforce health and safety procedures on-site.
Effective coordination and communication skills to work with engineers, contractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
Proficiency in basic project documentation, reporting, and use of common office and site management tools (e.g., MS Office, simple project tracking software).
Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma or degree in civil engineering or construction management, or equivalent practical experience.
Previous experience in a supervisory role on construction or infrastructure projects in a similar environment is preferred.
Ability to work extended hours on-site when required, with a focus on meeting project deadlines and maintaining quality.
