Role Description The General Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Delhi Area. The General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, including project planning, resource allocation, budget management, and coordination between construction, engineering, procurement, and administrative teams. This role involves monitoring project progress, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and resolving operational issues to meet client expectations and contractual requirements. The General Manager will also lead and mentor staff, implement process improvements, manage vendor and client relationships, and provide regular performance and financial reports to senior leadership. In addition, this position includes responsibility for strategic planning, risk management, and compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction or infrastructure project management, including oversight of multiple projects and teams.
Strong skills in operations management, budgeting, resource planning, and process optimization.
Ability to lead, coach, and develop cross-functional teams, with effective delegation and performance management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for working with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
Solid understanding of construction standards, safety regulations, and local compliance requirements in the Greater Delhi Area.
Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees are an advantage.
Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management capabilities in fast-paced environments.
Comfort with using project management and office productivity software; familiarity with construction management tools is beneficial.
Ability to work on-site full time and adapt to changing project needs and timelines.
