Role Description The coding instructor role at TechySa is a full-time, on-site position (remote). The instructor will design and deliver engaging coding lessons, workshops, and practical exercises for learners at various skill levels, from beginners to advanced. Daily responsibilities include preparing curriculum materials, explaining programming concepts clearly, demonstrating code examples, and guiding learners through hands-on projects. The instructor will assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles. Additional tasks may include maintaining classroom resources, collaborating with other instructors, and staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in software development and education.
Payout - 400-600 per hour depends on your experience
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or similar) and solid understanding of core computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming).
Experience designing or delivering structured coding lessons, workshops, or training sessions, with the ability to break down complex topics into accessible explanations.
Familiarity with common development tools and workflows (IDEs, version control such as Git, debugging practices, and basic software development lifecycle).
Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to facilitate inclusive, respectful classroom discussions and collaborative problem-solving.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities to plan lessons, track learner progress, and manage multiple classes or groups.
Previous teaching, mentoring, or tutoring experience in coding or technology is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
Commitment to continuous learning and openness to feedback to improve instructional methods and technical expertise.
