Role Description The Research Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position located in Chennai. The Research Assistant will support automotive research projects by gathering data, conducting experiments, and maintaining accurate records of findings. Daily tasks include assisting with laboratory activities, preparing samples, performing measurements, and ensuring equipment is calibrated and used safely. The role also involves analyzing data, preparing reports, and supporting documentation for internal reviews and presentations. The Research Assistant will collaborate with engineers, senior researchers, and cross-functional teams to contribute to ongoing studies and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Research and Analytical Skills to design experiments, investigate problems, and interpret findings.
Candidates should possess solid Data Analysis skills, including working with datasets, identifying trends, and summarizing results clearly.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to document work, prepare reports, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Candidates should possess practical Laboratory Skills, including safe handling of equipment, adherence to protocols, and accurate record-keeping.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field (such as mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, physics, or chemistry).
Attention to detail, ability to follow structured procedures, and strong organizational skills.
Comfort working on-site in a technical environment and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
Prior internship or project experience in automotive, manufacturing, or research settings is an advantage.
