Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking an experienced professional to lead the valuation and appraisal of gold assets within our Operations and Services department. This role demands a high level of expertise in gold appraisal to support the bank's gold loan portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely assessment of gold collateral. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of gold purity testing, market trends, and regulatory compliance, contributing to risk mitigation and operational efficiency. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the bank's secured lending practices and requires collaboration with multiple teams to uphold service excellence and customer trust.
Responsibilities:-
Conduct precise and reliable appraisal of gold jewelry and bullion to determine market value for loan processing.
Verify gold purity using advanced testing methods such as XRF analysis and acid testing to ensure authenticity.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gold market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory guidelines affecting gold loans.
Collaborate with credit and risk teams to assess collateral value and support loan sanctioning decisions.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements related to gold appraisal and loan documentation.
Train and mentor junior appraisers and operations staff on gold valuation techniques and quality standards.
Prepare detailed appraisal reports and maintain accurate records for audit and review purposes.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with gold loan collateral through thorough inspection and verification processes.
Coordinate with branch operations to streamline appraisal workflows and enhance customer service delivery.
Participate in periodic audits and inspections to ensure adherence to appraisal standards and operational protocols.
