JOB TITLE: Store Manager
LOCATION: Touchwood Shopping Centre, Solihull
CONTRACT: Full Time, Permanent
HOURS: 40 hours per week
SHIFT PATTERN: Typically Wednesday and Sunday off.
PAY RATE: Starting from £32,800 per annum
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Apricot team!
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Store Manager to lead our team at our exciting new store opening.
As the leader of the store, you’ll play a key role in establishing the store from day one, building a strong and motivated team and creating an exceptional experience for every customer. You’ll be commercially focused, passionate about fashion and confident in leading by example to deliver strong sales and performance.
What you’ll be doing
As Store Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running and overall performance of the store. You’ll lead, motivate and develop your team while ensuring our customers receive an excellent level of service and our brand standards are consistently maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
Taking overall responsibility for the performance and day-to-day running of the store
Driving sales and maximising commercial opportunities
Managing store KPIs, stock performance and taking action where needed
Being a strong brand ambassador and representing Apricot positively to customers and the local community
Identifying commercial opportunities within the local area
Leading by example with a hands-on and collaborative approach
Creating an exceptional customer experience and encouraging the team to deliver the same
Recruiting, onboarding, motivating, coaching and developing your team
Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive working environment
Managing team performance and addressing issues appropriately
Ensuring all necessary paperwork and administration is completed accurately and on time
Minimising avoidable costs and risks within the store
Maintaining high standards of store presentation in line with our visual merchandising guidelines and marketing campaigns
Ensuring the store operates safely and taking responsibility for in-store health and safety
Working closely with the Assistant Store Manager and wider Support Office team to achieve store objectives
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced retail leader who is confident taking ownership, enjoys being on the shop floor and knows how to bring a team together to achieve great results.
You’ll ideally have:
Previous Store Manager or senior retail management experience
A strong track record of leading and developing teams
Experience managing sales targets and KPIs
Experience with recruitment and people management
Strong commercial awareness and a results-focused approach
Excellent customer service skills
A passion for fashion and an interest in our brand
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A hands-on, proactive and collaborative approach
The ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility and adaptability
A willingness to learn and develop
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who leads by example, takes pride in their store and enjoys creating a positive environment where both customers and colleagues can thrive.
