About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Director of Product Operations to build and lead the operational function that supports product strategy, development, and ongoing performance. This role connects Product with Technology, Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Risk, Compliance, and other business functions to ensure products move efficiently from strategy to execution and continue to deliver strong business and customer outcomes.
The Senior Director will establish scalable product operating processes, improve product performance visibility, and help product teams execute effectively as the company grows.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Operations Strategy
Develop and lead the company’s product operations strategy and operating model.
Establish scalable processes that support product planning, development, launch, and ongoing management.
Improve coordination between Product, Technology, Operations, and commercial teams.
Create operating standards that enable product teams to execute consistently.
Product Planning & Execution
Support product planning, prioritization, roadmap management, and execution.
Establish processes for tracking product initiatives, milestones, dependencies, and resources.
Identify operational barriers affecting product delivery and drive solutions.
Improve visibility into product priorities and execution across the organization.
Product Performance & Analytics
Establish product KPIs and performance-management frameworks.
Partner with Data and Analytics teams to develop product dashboards and reporting.
Analyze product adoption, engagement, revenue, retention, and operational performance.
Provide actionable insights to product and executive leadership.
Product Launch & Lifecycle Operations
Develop scalable processes for product launches, enhancements, and market releases.
Coordinate cross-functional launch activities across Product, Technology, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Customer Success.
Improve product lifecycle management from initial concept through ongoing optimization.
Establish post-launch reviews and performance improvement processes.
Cross-Functional Operations
Serve as a central operating partner across Product and other business functions.
Coordinate complex initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
Improve communication, accountability, and decision-making across product organizations.
Align product execution with broader business and operational priorities.
Process & Operational Improvement
Identify opportunities to simplify product processes and eliminate operational friction.
Develop standardized workflows, documentation, and governance practices.
Introduce automation and technology solutions that improve product operations.
Continuously evaluate and improve the product operating model.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
Partner with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Security teams to incorporate appropriate controls into product processes.
Support product governance, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
Identify operational risks associated with product launches and changes.
Ensure product initiatives follow established governance standards.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop the Product Operations organization.
Establish team objectives, performance standards, and operating priorities.
Build strong relationships with product leaders and senior stakeholders.
Develop a high-performing culture focused on execution, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in product operations, product management, business operations, strategy, program management, or a related field.
6+ years of experience leading product operations or cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of product development, product lifecycle management, and business operations.
Demonstrated experience building processes and operating models for growing organizations.
Experience managing complex, cross-functional product initiatives.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with senior executives and product leadership.
Preferred Experience
Experience in fintech, financial services, payments, trading, investment management, SaaS, or technology platforms is preferred. Experience supporting complex or regulated products, enterprise customers, financial-market infrastructure, data platforms, or digital financial products is highly valued. Experience with product analytics, workflow automation, AI-enabled tools, and enterprise systems is a plus.
