Role Description The Vice President of Strategic Planning is a full-time, remote role responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s long-term growth strategy. This position leads strategic planning cycles, defines organizational priorities, and aligns event portfolios and partnerships with overall business objectives. Day-to-day activities include analyzing market and competitive trends in fintech, evaluating new business opportunities, and developing strategic initiatives to expand audiences, revenue streams, and geographic reach. The role collaborates with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to translate strategy into actionable plans, performance metrics, and budgets, while monitoring progress and adjusting tactics as needed. The Vice President also represents the organization in strategic discussions with key stakeholders, partners, and sponsors, ensuring that initiatives support sustainable growth and a strong brand presence.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Strategic Planning and Business Planning, with the ability to define clear goals, initiatives, and execution roadmaps.
Strong Analytical Skills and experience with Market Research to interpret data, identify trends, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Solid understanding of Finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and evaluating business cases for new initiatives or partnerships.
Proven leadership experience in a senior or executive role, ideally within events, fintech, technology, or related industries.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
Ability to think both strategically and operationally, managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an asset.
Experience working with diverse teams and partners, with a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and equitable access to opportunities.
