Member of Commercial Staff

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a generalist commercial role at a fast-moving, pre-seed energy tech startup building a full-stack electricity retail platform for European households. You will work closely with the founding team in Berlin, taking ownership of complex, cross-functional challenges across finance, legal, recruiting, customer support, and partner management. Strong commercial infrastructure directly enables growth and customer trust in a regulated industry, so this work has real impact from day one.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Tackle varied commercial challenges spanning finance, legal, recruiting, customer support, and partner management as the business scales.
- Own problems end-to-end, from scoping through execution, with a high bar for quality.
- Shift scope and priorities fluidly as the business evolves, always focusing on what matters most.
- Help shape operating practices and processes alongside your core day-to-day responsibilities.
- Contribute to a culture of effective communication, ownership, and craftsmanship in an in-person team environment.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of proven performance in a high-performance environment such as a high-growth startup, consulting, investment banking, professional sports, or high-end hospitality.
- Versatile background in banking, legal, operations, partnerships, or another domain that adds commercial leverage.
- Rapid learner who can move from novice to effective quickly by engaging experts, reasoning from first principles, and executing with conviction.
- Strong interpersonal style: warm and engaging, with the ability to push for results when necessary.
- Proactive owner who notices and fixes broken processes without waiting for permission.
- Early-career profile with a steep growth trajectory and a clear signal of exceptionality, such as standout academic, entrepreneurial, athletic, or professional achievement.
- German fluency at C1 level or above is required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary range: 75,000 to 100,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
LOCATION
On-site, five days per week in Berlin, Germany (Mitte). Remote work is not available for this position.
