Role Description The Software Test Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The person in this role will design, write, and maintain test cases based on product requirements and technical specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include executing manual and automated tests, identifying defects, documenting issues, and working closely with software developers to ensure timely resolution. The Software Test Engineer will analyze test results, contribute to test plans and regression testing, and help improve testing processes and coverage. Collaboration with cross-functional teams for reviews, status reporting, and continuous quality improvement is expected.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Software Testing and Testing methodologies.
Candidates should possess skills in Test Execution and working with structured Test Cases.
Candidates should possess foundational understanding of Software Development to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in reporting defects.
Candidates should possess experience with test management tools, bug tracking systems, and basic automation concepts (e.g., scripting or test frameworks) as an advantage.
Candidates should possess good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented, on-site environment in Chennai.
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and prior experience in software or QA roles, would be beneficial.
