2. About the Opportunity:
The Technical Partner Manager - Chicago Area is responsible for enabling technical sales teams and partners to effectively position and sell the organization’s data protection solutions. This role supports partner business initiatives, drives product awareness, and assists in executing account strategies to maximize revenue. The position plays a key role in providing pre-sales expertise and training, fostering relationships with technical stakeholders, and expanding the organization''s presence within partner accounts.
3. Responsibilities:
Enable technical sellers to position and win with the organization’s solutions
Deliver product and technical certification training
Identify and educate partners on sales plays to support key business initiatives and grow pipeline
Drive awareness of all products and their differentiators
Build relationships with partner technical leaders and influencers to expand account mindshare
Foster collaboration between partners and the organization’s personnel
Assist sales teams in executing partner account strategies to maximize revenue
Provide pre-sales assistance and subject matter expertise for meetings, demos, and proof of concepts
Utilize available resources to meet and exceed sales objectives
4. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous pre-sales experience or demonstrated sales acumen preferred
Extensive experience with Cyber Resilience and Virtualization Technologies (e.g., VMware VCP, Microsoft MCITP)
Experience designing, building, or selling the organization’s solutions
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Adaptability to changing roles and responsibilities
Willingness to travel up to 60%
High-energy, motivated self-starter with ability to quickly learn new technologies
Additional skills:
Broad experience with Storage, Networking, Servers, and applications; strong expertise in VMware virtual technologies and Microsoft Windows Server/Hyper-V
Hands-on experience with the organization’s or competitive solutions desirable
Knowledge of Data Protection and Disaster Recovery technologies
Understanding of Channel Sales and Enablement
Experience with database and management platforms like Microsoft System Center
Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
Experience with scripting, orchestration, and workflow tools desirable
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The salary range is On Target Earnings (OTE), inclusive of base and variable pay
United States pay range: $150,000—$214,300 USD
Offers will consider candidate expectations, experience, education, role scope, and market demands
