Full Time Profee & Facility OBGYN Medical Coder Remote

2. About the Opportunity:
The Full Time Profee & Facility OBGYN Medical Coder is responsible for providing coding and abstracting services for professional fee and facility medical records in OBGYN clinic and surgery settings. This role ensures accurate assignment of diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 standards after thorough medical record reviews. The position contributes to maintaining coding quality and supports coding education within the team. This is a fully remote role.
3. Responsibilities:
Review medical records to identify pertinent diagnoses and procedures
Abstract information following client guidelines
Seek clarification from physicians on ambiguous documentation
Provide mentorship and training to new or junior coders
Stay updated with coding guidelines and industry standards
Maintain professional communication and conduct
4. Requirements:
Certification such as CPC, COC, CIC, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA
Minimum of 3 years coding experience in professional fee and facility settings
Strong skills in OBGYN clinic and surgery coding, including office and surgical procedures
Ability to code Clinic E&M and CPTs
Experience with EPIC, 3M, and 360 systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, surgical technology, pharmacology, and disease processes
Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding principles, reimbursement systems, and regulations
Successful completion of a coding proficiency test
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range for this position is $25hr to $28hr, based on factors including market conditions, location, education, work experience, and certifications
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors
