2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Software Test Engineer role is focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of healthcare technology solutions by designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies. This position is responsible for validating complex data, managing defects, and supporting release testing processes. It plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and improving the accuracy and integrity of reporting systems within the organization.
3. Responsibilities:
Analyze business, user, and system requirements to develop testing solutions in an Agile environment
Create and maintain test plans, test data, scripts, estimates, schedules, and strategies
Define user acceptance and production readiness criteria
Design, execute, and debug functional, integration, regression, database, batch job, and release tests
Write and run complex SQL queries for data validation
Support testing involving healthcare EDI, HIPAA, PHI, CMS reports, federal reporting, T-MSIS, ELT, and enterprise data warehouse environments
Use test management tools like JIRA and Azure DevOps to document and track testing activities
Identify, document, and manage software defects to resolution
Assist in managing test environments and release installation procedures
Coordinate release activities and participate in reviews and readiness meetings
Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure successful testing outcomes
4. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance roles
Extensive knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile testing practices
Experience developing test plans, strategies, cases, scripts, and data
Proficiency in writing complex SQL for backend and data validation
Hands-on experience with database, batch job, and reporting validation testing
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps
Understanding of test automation frameworks and execution
Experience testing healthcare systems involving EDI, HIPAA, PHI, CMS, federal and T-MSIS reporting
Knowledge of ELT, Informatica, enterprise data warehouses, and reporting platforms
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The estimated salary range for this role is $76,923 - $99,900
This position may be eligible for bonuses or incentives based on business need
