Role Description
The Vice President Information Technology is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the overall technology vision, strategy, and execution for ORIX Life Insurance. This position oversees IT operations, infrastructure, applications, and security, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing IT teams, prioritizing and managing key technology projects, coordinating with executive leadership and business units, and optimizing technology investments. The VP IT will set strategic roadmaps, implement best practices in governance and risk management, and drive digital transformation initiatives that enhance customer experience and organizational efficiency. The role also requires monitoring emerging technologies, managing vendor relationships, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT organization.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Information Technology, including enterprise systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud-based solutions.
Demonstrated experience in IT Management, leading cross-functional teams, budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor oversight.
Proven ability in IT Strategy and Strategic Planning, aligning technology initiatives with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Advanced Project Management skills, including planning, execution, risk management, and delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior leadership levels.
Experience in the insurance or financial services sector, with understanding of compliance, data privacy, and industry-specific regulations.
Track record of driving digital transformation, implementing modern architectures, and improving operational efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP) are beneficial.
