Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the company's global Technology organization and define the technology strategy, engineering direction, innovation agenda, and long-term technical capabilities.
The CTO will translate business objectives into a scalable technology strategy and work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Security, Finance, and Executive Leadership to build reliable, secure, and high-performing technology platforms.
The role will oversee Software Engineering, Technology Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data & Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, DevOps, IT Operations, Systems Integration, Technology Innovation, and Technology Governance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technology Strategy & Vision
Develop and execute the company's long-term technology strategy.
Align technology investments with corporate and business objectives.
Define technology architecture, standards, and strategic priorities.
Evaluate emerging technologies and opportunities for innovation.
Provide technology guidance to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
2. Engineering Leadership & Product Technology
Lead Software Engineering and technology development organizations.
Establish engineering standards, development processes, and technical best practices.
Partner with Product and Design teams to deliver scalable products and platforms.
Improve software quality, development velocity, and engineering efficiency.
Ensure technology capabilities support evolving business requirements.
3. Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure
Develop scalable enterprise and application architecture.
Oversee cloud infrastructure, networks, systems, and technology platforms.
Establish technology standards for scalability, availability, and performance.
Manage systems integration and enterprise technology dependencies.
Develop long-term infrastructure and capacity planning strategies.
4. Cybersecurity & Technology Risk Management
Establish enterprise cybersecurity strategy and technology controls.
Oversee security architecture, vulnerability management, and incident response.
Identify and mitigate technology, infrastructure, and information-security risks.
Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams on applicable requirements.
Maintain strong standards for data protection, privacy, and system security.
5. Data, Artificial Intelligence & Analytics
Develop the company's data and analytics technology strategy.
Oversee data platforms, data engineering, business intelligence, and reporting.
Evaluate and implement appropriate Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities.
Establish data governance, quality, security, and accessibility standards.
Use technology and analytics to support data-driven business decisions.
6. Technology Operations & Reliability
Oversee IT operations, DevOps, infrastructure, and technology service delivery.
Establish reliability, availability, monitoring, and disaster recovery standards.
Improve system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Develop technology incident and business continuity processes.
Monitor technology performance and continuously improve operational excellence.
7. Innovation & Digital Transformation
Lead technology innovation and digital transformation initiatives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and their potential business applications.
Establish frameworks for technology experimentation and proof-of-concept projects.
Drive automation and modernization of legacy systems and processes.
Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and business efficiency through
technology.
8. Technology Organization Leadership
Recruit, mentor, and develop senior technology and engineering leaders.
Build and scale a high-performing global Technology organization.
Establish technology career paths, competency frameworks, and performance standards.
Manage technology budgets, resources, vendors, and strategic partners.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, security, collaboration, and continuous
improvement.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Software
Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree or MBA preferred.
Experience
20+ years of progressive experience in Technology, Engineering, Software Development, or related
functions.
10+ years of senior technology or engineering leadership experience.
Proven experience leading large-scale Technology or Engineering organizations.
Strong experience with enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, software
engineering, and technology operations.
Demonstrated experience leading digital transformation and technology modernization initiatives.
Experience managing technology budgets, resources, vendors, and strategic partnerships.
Strong ability to communicate with C-suite executives, senior stakeholders, and Board-level
leadership.
