Digital Defenders Inc. is seeking a motivated and creative student to join our unpaid, 10-week, project-based Internship Program. We are currently recruiting for one internship track:
Educational Development Intern
This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a growing nonprofit while contributing to real projects that help young people stay safe in an increasingly digital world.
About Digital Defenders Inc.
Digital Defenders Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating youth about internet safety. Through engaging school presentations, interactive online programs, community workshops, and outreach events, we empower children to navigate the challenges of the digital world.
About the Internship Program
The Digital Defenders Internship Program, running from Monday October 5 - Friday, December 11, is a 10-week, project-based experience designed to give students meaningful exposure to nonprofit operations, cybersecurity education, communications, and community engagement.
Interns will work on real initiatives and projects that directly support our mission while developing professional, creative, and communications skills.
The Educational Development Intern will help develop engaging educational content and programming for the Digital Defenders Club and other youth-focused initiatives. Ideal candidates are currently pursuing degrees in Education, Child Development, Instructional Design, or a related field. Responsibilities may include:
Developing educational lessons and activities for different age groups and learning environments
Translating complex digital safety concepts into age-appropriate and engaging content
Creating discussion questions, scenarios, worksheets, quizzes, and other learning materials
Researching topics related to cybersecurity, AI, social media, cyberbullying, and digital citizenship
Assisting with workshop and presentation development
