Electrical Engineering Intern

Compensation: $23.00–$31.00 per hour

Role Overview:
The role focuses on engineering design and manufacturing. As an Electrical Engineer Co-op at Valves group, work alongside a team of experienced engineers to develop vacuum valve products and find innovative ways to solve customer problems. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager.
Requirements:
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or relevant majors
Solid fundamental knowledge and skills in electrical engineering.
Able to read and understand electrical schematics.
Proficient with multi-meter, oscilloscope, and other equipment for embedded systems development.
Good communication skills and a “hands on” approach to problem solving.
Ability to work with minimum supervision with strong sense of ownership and desire for excellence.
Highlights:
Participating in design and development of analog and digital electronic hardware used to control vacuum valves.
Assisting with design, debugging and board bring-up of analog and digital real-time embedded electronics for microprocessor-based control and communication hardware platform using combination of simulation, analysis, prototyping and testing.
Participating in project activities, including DFMEA, design reviews, and creation of technical specifications.
Performing FAs for customers, make a corrective action plan to mitigate design issues and/or work with vendors to resolve component quality issues.
Evaluating the design to meet requirements factoring in performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
Communicating technical information effectively in both oral and written form.
