Role Description The Vice President Information Technology is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the overall technology vision, strategy, and execution across the organization. This role oversees IT operations, infrastructure, applications, security, and support functions, ensuring that technology solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing IT management teams, prioritizing and governing projects, developing and maintaining IT roadmaps, and collaborating with senior leadership on strategic planning and budgeting. The Vice President Information Technology will establish policies, standards, and best practices, manage vendor relationships, and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. This role also fosters an inclusive, high-performing IT culture, enabling team members through coaching, clear goals, and transparent communication.
Qualifications
Broad expertise in Information Technology, including enterprise infrastructure, applications, security, and support; ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business terms.
Strong IT Management experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams, vendor relationships, budgets, and service delivery in a dynamic environment.
Proven ability to define and execute IT Strategy that aligns with organizational goals, supports scalability, and enables innovation and digital transformation.
Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, resourcing, risk management, and successful delivery of cross-functional initiatives.
Background in Strategic Planning with experience building technology roadmaps, setting measurable objectives, and using data and KPIs to guide decisions.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board levels.
Experience leading remote or distributed teams, promoting inclusive practices, and building a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, TOGAF) are beneficial.
Track record of managing change, implementing new systems or platforms, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
