About the Opportunity:
The SCHEDULER-BMC PT ACCESS is responsible for managing patient and provider inquiries via telephone and various communication channels to facilitate appointment scheduling and pre-registration. This role ensures accurate documentation and appropriate routing of patient requests to optimize access to healthcare services, directly contributing to effective patient care coordination and service utilization.
Responsibilities:
Respond to and document inquiries from patients and providers through phone, internet, and written/electronic correspondence.
Educate patients and providers on patient care issues such as insurance, provider options, payment methods, and service availability.
Obtain, update, and verify patient demographics, insurance details, emergency contacts, co-pays, and primary physician information within the healthcare information system.
Answer telephone calls, transcribe messages, and deliver information to healthcare staff.
Accurately report medical information from patients and referring physicians in a timely manner.
Distribute messages following established communication standards.
Requirements:
Experience in customer service.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The compensation range for this position is $17.67 per hour to $28.63 per hour.
Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts, and compensation model.
