Associate, Network Contracting (Central Region)

2. About the Opportunity:
The Associate, Network Contracting is responsible for negotiating and managing contracts with healthcare providers to build and maintain a strong network in a designated region. This role ensures access to quality care while optimizing costs by analyzing provider performance and reimbursement rates. It supports network growth, provider engagement, and the execution of local network strategies, directly impacting the availability and quality of care for members.
3. Responsibilities:
Implement contracting strategies aligned with network adequacy and cost management objectives.
Manage and negotiate contracts with healthcare providers ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to contracting specialists and analysts.
Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of provider contracts to identify improvement opportunities.
Utilize data analytics to inform negotiation and contracting decisions.
Support contracting policy implementation and workflow improvements.
Meet defined metrics and service level agreements including provider outreach and contract completion.
Collaborate with provider services for network education and communication.
Monitor network compliance and develop corrective action plans as needed.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
4. Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare client management, consulting, contracting, operations, or related fields.
At least 2 years supporting provider network strategy development and contract negotiation.
Minimum 1 year conducting financial analyses and working cross-functionally to drive improvements.
Experience handling large data sets such as claims files and provider rosters.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Base pay range: $87,188 to $114,434 per year.
