Company Description The Harding University Center for Leadership & Development is a collaborative team of faculty and staff dedicated to providing learners with a transformative academic experience in leadership. The Center offers a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership, three graduate certificate programs in Executive and Workplace Coaching, Human Resource Management, and Learning and Development, as well as an accelerated undergraduate minor in Leadership and Innovation. Programs are delivered in a convenient online format that emphasizes a student-first approach, competency-based curriculum, and accessible, affordable academic pathways. The Center is noted for the quality of its faculty and for integrating faith-informed perspectives into a rigorous, professionally relevant learning environment. Role Description The VP of Leadership Strategy is a full-time remote role responsible for shaping and advancing the Center’s strategic vision for leadership education and development. This position oversees long-term program planning, portfolio growth, and alignment of academic offerings with market trends and institutional goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading strategic initiatives, collaborating with faculty and university leadership on curriculum innovation, evaluating program performance through data-informed analysis, and identifying new opportunities for partnerships and enrollment growth. The VP will guide digital strategy for online programs, support resource planning and budgeting in coordination with finance teams, and ensure that student experience and outcomes remain central to all leadership and development efforts. The role also involves representing the Center externally, consulting with stakeholders on leadership development solutions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and inclusive excellence.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to evaluate programs, interpret data, and drive evidence-based decisions.
Candidates should possess Strategic Planning and Digital Strategy skills to design, implement, and refine long-term academic and online growth initiatives.
Candidates should possess Consulting and stakeholder engagement skills to collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and organizational leaders on leadership development solutions.
Candidates should possess Finance-related skills to contribute to budgeting, resource allocation, and sustainable program growth.
Relevant skills such as leadership in higher education or professional development settings, experience with online or competency-based education, and familiarity with faith-informed or values-based organizational contexts are beneficial.
Advanced academic preparation (e.g., master’s degree or higher) in leadership, organizational development, business, education, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience in strategic roles, is preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and change-management abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a remote environment, are expected.
