Programme Manager

We're looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead Beca's integrated engineering team at Oji Fibre Solutions' Kinleith Mill in Tokoroa.
Based predominantly on-site and working closely with the client's Engineering Manager, you'll lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital and non-routine maintenance projects within a large-scale manufacturing environment. Acting as the primary interface between Beca and the client, you'll combine programme leadership, project delivery, commercial management and stakeholder engagement to deliver successful outcomes in a complex brownfield setting.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a long-standing client partnership, influence investment priorities, and work alongside a multidisciplinary team delivering projects that improve safety, reliability, operational performance and asset sustainability.
He aha tāu mahi | What you'll be doing
Leading the planning, prioritisation and delivery of a portfolio of capital and non-routine maintenance projects, including programme budgeting, forecasting, resource planning and performance reporting.
Acting as a trusted advisor to the client, building strong relationships while identifying practical engineering solutions that balance operational, technical and commercial requirements.
Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and project delivery teams, ensuring effective collaboration, programme alignment and successful project execution.
Taking accountability for selected projects from initiation through to implementation and close-out, managing scope, budget, schedule, risk, quality, procurement and contractor performance.
Promoting excellence in health, safety, risk and quality management while supporting safe and predictable project delivery within a complex operating environment.

You're a relationship-focused programme leader who thrives in complex industrial environments. You enjoy working closely with clients, leading multidisciplinary teams and turning strategic priorities into successful project outcomes.
You'll bring:
A relevant engineering, project management or related tertiary qualification, with professional registration or certification viewed favourably.
Significant experience leading programmes and projects within engineering consulting, industrial manufacturing, heavy industry or other asset-intensive environments.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple concurrent workstreams and successfully deliver projects within complex brownfield operating environments.
Strong stakeholder management, commercial and consultancy skills, with experience managing budgets, forecasts, risk, quality and client relationships.
A collaborative, safety-focused leadership style, combined with sound judgement, resilience and a practical approach to solving complex challenges.
