About the Opportunity
The organization is seeking an experienced Chief Information Officer to lead its enterprise technology and business systems. This full-time role is based in the United States.
Inheriting an established operational foundation supported by significant recent investments, the Chief Information Officer will elevate organizational capacity across a complex operational environment characterized by consultative sales, physical and digital fulfillment, and sophisticated revenue recognition.
Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer and collaborating closely with the Chief Operating Officer on enterprise-wide initiatives, the Chief Information Officer leads a 175-person organization comprising 75 full-time employees alongside vendor partners and contractors, with an annual operating budget exceeding $45 million.
Key Responsibilities
Own the strategy, modernization, and optimization of the core technology stack—including Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, and HubSpot—and an application portfolio of more than 400 systems, managing costs and reducing technical debt.
Staff, activate, and direct the internal AI Transformation team to securely integrate artificial intelligence and low-code/no-code solutions into enterprise workflows.
Oversee the internal AI productivity roadmap and manage deployments of tools such as Glean, Claude, and Salesforce Agentforce, supporting vibe-coding for non-technical employees alongside robust governance frameworks that ensure speed and safety.
Partner with Finance and external auditors to preserve transaction integrity, mature General IT Controls (GITC), and support SOC and financial audit readiness.
Direct technology investments toward functional areas including People, Marketing, and Product-facing systems while maintaining rigorous financial controls.
Direct a 175-person blended workforce, completing the planned operational evolution toward distinct strategic and delivery functions to enable structured governance and agile execution.
Reduce governance overhead, foster cross-functional accountability, and empower teams to implement pragmatic solutions efficiently.
Transform the Business Systems organization into a proactive, consultative partner for functional leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Finance, Supply Chain, and Product.
Collaborate with the Data organization to assess and implement improvements in cross-functional operations and alignment.
Required Qualifications
Proven executive leadership experience heading an IT or Business Systems organization of 50 or more individuals with substantial budget responsibility within a complex, multi-channel enterprise generating $300 million to $1 billion or more in revenue.
Demonstrated track record of driving enterprise AI adoption beyond the pilot phase, deploying tools with measurable workforce uptake, establishing effective governance, and standing up or scaling an enablement team that empowers non-technical teams with low-code/no-code capabilities.
Extensive enterprise systems depth, including ownership of modern CRM, ERP, and HRIS platforms and a large application portfolio, with documented outcomes in system simplification, financial discipline, and strategic resource allocation.
Deep expertise partnering with Chief Financial Officers and external auditors on revenue recognition, SOC, SOX, and GITC frameworks, with the credibility to present on internal controls and organizational maturity to Board audit and risk committees.
Documented success in evaluating and elevating talent, structuring distinct strategic and operational delivery teams, decreasing reliance on external vendors, and attracting high-performing technology professionals.

Leadership experience within an enterprise that combines physical logistics or fulfillment operations with digital SaaS delivery models.
