About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Territory Sales Manager – Endovascular and Surgical (MedTech) | Full-time, field-based | 2–5 years' experience
𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗬
This is a demanding, technically complex sales role. We would rather receive 20 accurate applications than 500 optimistic ones.
Every claim in your application — years of experience, revenue closed, quota attainment, incentive earnings, sales methodology, languages, notice period — will be verified at offer stage against appraisal or incentive letters, payslips and reference checks with named former managers. If a claim cannot be substantiated, the application is closed, even if everything else is strong.
Answer the screening questions truthfully, including where the honest answer is "no". A "no" does not automatically disqualify you. A false "yes" does.
𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 – 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 & 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵)
SurgeonsLab | Two openings: Hyderabad AND Delhi NCR (Gurugram) | Full-time, field-based | 2–5 years' experience
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗟𝗮𝗯
SurgeonsLab develops high-fidelity physical and virtual simulation platforms for surgical and endovascular procedures. Our technology replicates real human anatomy, vasculature, and blood flow, allowing surgeons, interventional radiologists, neurointerventionalists, and device engineers to train, test, and innovate without risk to patients.
We operate from the USA, Switzerland and India, serving hospitals, medical colleges, simulation centres, research institutions, and the R&D, clinical affairs, and professional education teams of leading medical device companies across Europe, the United States, and Asia.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆: We are expanding our sales presence and are hiring for foundational roles, not specific regional handovers. This role focuses on device-industry accounts and covers APAC, South India, and West India.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗼
𝟭. 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥&𝗗 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀: Open accounts with the India-based R&D centres, GCCs and commercial headquarters of international device companies, and with India's domestic manufacturers. You will engage R&D directors, design and verification engineers, clinical and medical affairs teams, product managers and professional education managers. Simulation is used for device design, bench testing, design validation, physician preference testing and launch training.
𝟮. 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀: Develop business with teaching hospitals, medical colleges, skills labs and research institutes, building relationships with interventional radiologists, neurointerventionalists, vascular surgeons, neurosurgeons, interventional cardiologists, department heads, simulation centre directors and procurement.
𝟯. 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀: Design and sell rental, pay-per-use and placement models suited to Indian capital constraints. Plan and deliver hands-on workshops on surgical and endovascular procedures, funded by device company sponsorship or educational grants, with clinical societies and key opinion leaders.
You will also maintain accurate CRM records, build account plans, hold a reliable forecast, and represent SurgeonsLab at Indian and international congresses.

Two profiles are welcome.
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗔 — 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱
2–5 years selling medical devices, capital equipment, scientific or laboratory equipment, or diagnostics. Ideally in or adjacent to interventional radiology, neurointervention, interventional cardiology or vascular surgery. You know what a cath lab looks like from the inside.
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗕 — 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵
2–5 years in technical B2B sales, SaaS, engineering solutions or another genuinely complex solution-selling environment. No MedTech background, but a real record of opening accounts and closing business, and a credible reason for moving into medical technology.
Both profiles must meet the requirements below. We do not lower the bar for Profile B.
𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Business or a related field. MBA is an advantage, not a requirement.
• Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience in which you personally owned a target. Inside sales support, lead generation, telecalling or marketing roles do not meet this on their own.
• A quantifiable individual sales record. You must be able to state, with evidence: your annual target, your attainment percentage, and the total value of business you personally closed. Team numbers do not count.
• Demonstrated use of a structured sales methodology in your last two roles — MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, SPIN, Challenger, Sandler, Consultative or Value-Based Selling. You must be able to describe one specific deal, naming the stakeholders, in which you applied it.
• Professional English, spoken and written, sufficient to present to senior clinicians and international colleagues.
• Hyderabad role: working proficiency in Telugu or Hindi.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India and internationally, including overnight and weekend travel for congresses and workshops.
• Valid driving licence and your own vehicle for local travel.
• Comfortable entering cath labs and operating theatres, and completing vendor credentialing.
• Based in the city you apply for, or willing to relocate there at your own cost before joining.
𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗱
• Existing relationships with interventional radiologists, neurointerventionalists, interventional cardiologists or vascular surgeons in India
• Experience selling to device companies, R&D centres or GCCs, not only to hospitals
• Experience organising or supporting clinical workshops, cadaver labs or congress activity
• Familiarity with rental, placement or pay-per-use commercial models
• Working knowledge of CDSCO pathways, hospital tenders or the GeM portal
• Distributor and channel management experience
• CRM proficiency — Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho or similar
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲
• You are comfortable being first in a market, with no brand recognition to lean on
• You can hold a technical conversation with an R&D engineer and a clinical one with an interventional radiologist on the same day
• You understand that in India, how the commercial model is structured often matters as much as the product
• You can run a workshop end to end and convert it into pipeline
• You learn anatomy, procedures and device technology quickly and accurately
• You tell your manager the truth about your pipeline, including when it is bad
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Fixed salary plus uncapped performance-linked incentive, depending on demonstrated experience, evidenced sales record and clinical field exposure.
Indicative annual CTC: INR 6,00,000 – 12,00,000, plus incentive.
Travel expenses, mobile and data allowance, and the equipment required for the role are provided per company policy.
𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀
By applying you agree that at offer stage we may request and verify: employment and relieving letters, payslips, appraisal or incentive letters supporting your stated sales record, educational certificates, references from named former managers, and third-party background verification.
Applications containing claims that cannot be substantiated will not proceed.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆
Answer the screening questions accurately, then submit:
1. CV
2. A note of maximum 300 words covering: the largest deal you personally closed and its value, the sales methodology you used and how, and why you want to work in MedTech
3. Your current location, the city you are applying for, and your notice period
4. Your current fixed and variable compensation
5. Names and designations of two former reporting managers contactable at offer stage
Applications without the 300-word note will not be reviewed.
𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀
1. Screening review and CV shortlist
2. AI or recorded initial interview
3. Structured sales interview — discovery, qualification, objection handling, forecasting
4. Technical learning assessment — you receive material on an unfamiliar product and must explain it. We assess learning speed, not medical knowledge.
5. Practical exercise — customer conversation, pitch or account plan
6. Leadership interview
7. Document verification and reference checks
8. Offer
𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆
SurgeonsLab considers all qualified applicants without regard to gender, religion, caste, marital status, disability or any other personal characteristic unrelated to the ability to perform this role.
𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗟𝗮𝗯: Asia's interventional and endovascular volumes are rising quickly, and the country has become a genuine R&D and commercial base for global MedTech. Few people get to build a product category in a market at that point.
If you know this field, or can learn it fast, and would rather build something than manage something — we want to hear from you.
If your record does not yet meet the mandatory requirements, please do not apply now. Apply when it does. We will still be hiring.
