Solution Architect

Sitting at the intersection of sales and delivery, this role partners with Sales and Delivery teams to shape compelling, feasible solutions, produce High-Level Solution Overviews and POCs, evaluate solution blueprints, and guarantee seamless handovers to Execute delivery teams.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Head of Engineering: Direct reporting line for technical pre-sales strategy, solution architecture, and practice alignment.
Sales Directors and Marketing: Collaborate on pitches, RFPs, commercial estimates, and thought leadership campaigns.
Envision & Explore Teams: Partner during discovery phases to refine current state and detail future state architectures.
Execute Delivery Teams: Lead structured handovers, capturing pre-sales intent, assumptions, and solution blueprints.
Senior Client Technical Leaders: Act as go-to technical advisor, understanding business goals and technical roadmaps.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Sales Support and Account Advisory
Collaborate with Sales Directors to develop and deliver compelling pitches, proposals, RFPs, and RFIs, providing technical validation to ensure proposed solutions are accurate and feasible.
Actively participate in client calls and discovery sessions to capture business and technical requirements for internal teams.
Provide estimates, feasibility checks, and margin awareness to support commercial decisions early in the sales cycle.
Collaborate with Marketing and the wider RUSH team to create compelling collateral, campaigns, and thought leadership tailored to our services.
Develop deep, trusted relationships with senior technical leaders and decision-makers within key accounts, acting as their go-to advisor to influence strategy and position our solutions as integral to their success.
Solution Definition, Estimation and AI Positioning
Translate client requirements into clear high-level solution options and risks for internal teams and clients.
Develop solution concepts, present/deliver them clearly to clients, and create proof-of-concepts (POCs) to demonstrate feasibility.
Provide estimates and confirm feasibility of proposed approaches, ensuring operational alignment and healthy margins.
Evaluate emerging AI architectures, agentic systems, and vendor tools to incorporate cutting-edge AI capability into client pre-sales proposals and solution designs.
Articulate AI risks, feasibility, cost models, and data governance frameworks to client stakeholders during pre-sales and Envision phases.
Technical Enablement & Execution Handover
Act as the bridge between Sales, Envision, and Explore phases to the Execute Delivery team, ensuring all pre-sales knowledge, assumptions, and solution intent are captured in a structured way that sets projects up for success.
Partner with Delivery people to align client expectations with operational capabilities and delivery realities.
Produce and maintain High-Level Solution Overviews (HLSOs) summarizing business context, key requirements, assumptions, risks, and proposed solution approach for each opportunity.
Serve as the primary technical authority in pre-sales engagements, establishing trust by articulating technical solutions and knowledge, and adding strategic value.
Guarantee project success from the outset by delivering a well-documented and robust handover, empowering delivery teams to proceed with a clear, unambiguous understanding of the solution and client objectives.
