Why this is an exciting opportunity
We're looking for a people-focused and operationally strong Team Leader to join our Portfolio Administration Services (PAS) team within HUB24's growing Non-Custody business, based in Melbourne. In this role, you'll lead a team of Portfolio Administrators and Analysts, driving service excellence, developing team capability and ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and high-quality outcomes for our clients.
Working across a diverse range of asset classes, you'll play a hands-on leadership role, overseeing daily operations, managing escalations, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a high-performance culture. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your people leadership skills with your operational expertise while contributing to the continued growth and success of HUB24's market-leading wealth management solutions.
What you’ll be doing
Lead, coach and develop a team of Portfolio Administrators and Analysts, fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
Oversee day-to-day portfolio administration operations, ensuring service standards are consistently achieved.
Act as an escalation point for operational issues, stakeholder queries and client requests.
Drive service excellence by delivering accurate, timely and high-quality outcomes for clients and advisers.
Support onboarding, training, performance development and talent growth within the team.
Maintain strong controls across reconciliations, data integrity, cost base management and tax reporting activities.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support effective service delivery and business outcomes.
Contribute to projects, process improvements and operational initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality and scalability.
What you bring
You don’t need to tick every box, but experience in the below will set you up for success.
Experience & Skills
Experience leading operations teams within financial services, ideally within Portfolio Administration Services, Non-Custody or a related environment.
Strong people leadership skills with a track record of developing capability and building engaged, high-performing teams.
Experience managing reconciliations, data integrity processes and operational controls.
Sound understanding of portfolio administration, investment products, tax reporting, CGT and cost base principles.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality and compliance.
Experience with IRESS or IPS and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
