Test Engineer

Test Engineer responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through comprehensive testing and quality assurance practices. The role focuses on identifying defects, validating functionality, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality products that meet business and customer requirements.
This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering defect-free software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements
Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing
Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality standards
Validate application functionality, performance, and usability across platforms
Execute manual and automated testing activities where applicable
Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective
Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports on testing progress and quality metrics
Support production releases and post-deployment validation activities
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools

Required Skills

Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
2–5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test engineering roles
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI
Knowledge of SQL and database testing concepts
Exposure to Agile, Scrum, and CI/CD environments
ISTQB or related testing certifications are an advantage
