Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Account Manager role based in the Pune Division. The Account Manager will oversee a portfolio of customers, ensuring timely policy issuance, renewals, and accurate documentation, while maintaining strong relationships with individual and corporate clients. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams on claims, underwriting, and service issues, monitoring account performance, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling health insurance products. The role involves engaging with agents, partners, and bancassurance channels, conducting meetings and reviews, and supporting sales initiatives to achieve business growth targets. The Account Manager will also handle customer queries, provide product guidance, track service quality, and prepare regular reports and dashboards for management review.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability in client relationship management, account servicing, and stakeholder coordination.
Strong sales and business development skills, including cross-selling, up-selling, and target achievement in insurance or financial services.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, agents, and internal teams.
Solid organizational and analytical abilities, including experience with reporting, basic data analysis, and use of CRM or account management tools.
Knowledge of health insurance products and processes (claims, underwriting, policy issuance) or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, manage field visits when required, and adapt to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, finance, or a related field; prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial services is an added advantage.
