Hands-on ServiceNow CMDB experience is MUST.
Candidates with only theoretical knowledge or certification without practical CMDB experience may not be suitable for this role.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and optimize ServiceNow CMDB and ensure CI data quality
• Hands-on experience with CSDM, CI classes, relationships, lifecycle states & governance
• Configure and maintain Discovery schedules across on-prem and cloud environments
• Strong experience with MID Servers, credentials, IP ranges and Discovery troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with Service Mapping and mapping infrastructure to business services
• Work with IRE (Identification & Reconciliation Engine) to prevent duplicate/orphan CIs
• Monitor CMDB Health — Completeness, Correctness & Compliance
• Perform CMDB cleanup, remediation, CI retirement/archiving and relationship corrections
• Troubleshoot Discovery, Pattern, authentication, SNMP/WMI and connectivity issues
• Integrate CMDB with ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change & Service Catalog
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security and IT Operations teams
