Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Autocad Draftsman Steel Structures role based in Delhi, India. The Autocad Draftsman will prepare detailed 2D steel structure drawings and models for offshore and marine projects, following engineering specifications, standards, and project requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting design inputs from structural engineers, creating fabrication and erection drawings, updating documentation based on review comments, and maintaining drawing accuracy and consistency. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, and supporting design revisions during fabrication and installation phases. The draftsman will also assist in organizing drawing files, preparing material take-offs, and contributing to continuous improvement of drafting practices and templates.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in AutoCAD and 2D/3D drafting for steel structures, including layout, detailing, and dimensioning.
Candidates should possess skills in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, structural steel detailing, and creating fabrication and erection drawings.
Candidates should possess knowledge of offshore and marine structural systems, basic structural design concepts, and relevant industry standards and codes.
Candidates should possess skills in CAD file management, drawing documentation, and revision control to maintain organized and accurate project records.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams.
Diploma or degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline, with a focus on drafting
Prior experience in steel structure drafting for oil and gas, marine, or offshore projects is highly beneficial.
