Practice Head – Cybersecurity

Role Description The Practice Head – Cybersecurity is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. This role leads the cybersecurity practice, defining strategy, building service offerings, and ensuring high-quality delivery across client engagements. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing security architecture and solution design, guiding implementation of cloud security controls, and collaborating with sales teams to develop and present cybersecurity proposals. The Practice Head will mentor and grow a technical team, establish best practices, and drive continuous improvement in security operations, governance, risk management, and compliance. The role also involves close coordination with product, cloud, and managed services teams to ensure integrated, secure solutions for customers.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2).
Strong knowledge of cloud security architecture and controls on AWS, including identity and access management, network security, data protection, and threat detection.
Experience with security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring tools and processes.
Ability to lead and mentor cybersecurity teams, manage practice-level delivery, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Proven experience working with enterprise customers, understanding complex environments, and translating business needs into secure technical solutions.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at multiple organizational levels.
