KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Technical Underwriting & Governance
Review and assess new business applications to ensure decisions align with underwriting philosophy and risk appetite.
Maintain consistency in risk evaluation and ensure proper documentation for audit readiness.
Support the product development and update of underwriting manuals and technical guidelines.
Provide technical input for complex cases and exception handling.
Conduct regular underwriting quality reviews and support internal/external audits.
Recommend corrective actions and contribute to initiatives that improve underwriting consistency.
Conduct technical training sessions and develop case studies for underwriters. Communicate and cascade system changes and updates to underwriting rules.
Underwriting tools (ie UME) & Project Implementation
Participate in underwriting rule set and enhancement initiatives, including end-to-end testing of underwriting rules and processes.
Oversee UAT planning and execution to ensure system readiness for new products and underwriting rules.
Collaborate with IT, product, and operations teams to ensure successful delivery of system/rule changes.
Provide immediate project support for MHIT, including coordination, documentation, testing and follow-up of underwriting-related deliverables, under the guidance of Evelyn Chin (Manager – MHIT) and Jenny Wong (Assistant Manager – UWME/MHIT).
