Role Description This part-time remote AI Data role at SC Agro focuses on supporting data-driven decision-making in agricultural operations and research. Day-to-day tasks include collecting, cleaning, and organizing datasets from various internal and external sources, as well as performing data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to crop performance, resource use, and operational efficiency. The role involves building and maintaining data models and dashboards to support AI and analytics initiatives, documenting data processes and methodologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical tasks. The AI Data professional will also contribute to continuous improvement of data quality, support basic automation of reporting, and ensure that data handling practices align with privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Data Analytics and Analytical Skills to interpret complex agricultural data and derive actionable insights.
Candidates should possess solid Data Management and Data Analysis skills to collect, clean, validate, and process large datasets reliably.
Candidates should possess practical experience in Data Modeling to design, implement, and optimize data structures that support AI and reporting solutions.
Familiarity with statistical tools, spreadsheets, and/or programming languages commonly used in data work (e.g., Python, R, SQL) is beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Understanding of or interest in agriculture, agribusiness, or environmental data is an advantage.
Relevant education in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
