Role Description The Structural Engineer Offshore role is a full-time, on-site position located in Bengaluru. The role involves performing structural analysis and design of offshore steel structures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, developing and checking CAD models and detailed drawings, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues. The engineer will support project planning, participate in design reviews, and contribute to optimization of structural solutions for safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness. The position also involves close collaboration with international partners and internal stakeholders to maintain quality and timely delivery of engineering outputs.
Qualifications
M.E / B.E (Civil/Mech) with 4 to 9 Years of Experience in Structural Analysis and Design of Steel Structures (Offshore Structures experience is a plus).
Lift, Loadout and Barge Transport Analyses.
Structural Steel Connection Design skills for bolted and welded connections.
Strong experiences in Analysis and Design of Steel structures using industry standard structural analyses softwares, spreadsheets/ manual calculation, etc.
Working knowledge of Eurocode, DNV or other international codes relevant to Steel structural design or Offshore Engineering.
Experience in checking of fabrication and engineering drawings to match the design specifications.
· Erection sequences for Offshore Structures.
· Loadout analyses, design procedures and guidance during Yard operations
· Lift analyses and procedures for construction activities such as Deck stackings, Jacket roll- ups, spreader Bars, Padeyes etc
· Analysis and Design of Seafastening for topside decks and other structures.
· Design of Grillage beams/arrangement for supporting heavy structures at the Yard
