We are looking for a curious, driven person who wants to spend their days understanding those businesses and helping investors become better long term owners.
--What You’ll Do--
You will help research some of the top 500 companies in the world and maintain the data and insights our Portfolio Manager uses for research and portfolio review.
Your work will include:
• Read annual reports, earnings transcripts, and financial statements
• Analyze revenue, operating profit, cash flow, return on capital, and other fundamental metrics
• Study companies and identify the numbers that actually matter
• Track long term business performance and investment theses
• Use SecDiver to uncover risks, trends, and meaningful insights
• Help improve our research tools based on real user feedback
• Turn complicated financial information into simple explanations
• Engage with our investor community
• Support customer outreach and social media content
The goal is not to produce more spreadsheets.
The goal is to understand a business well enough to explain what matters, what could go wrong, and why an investor should care.
Think of it like being a detective. The financial statements are the clues. Your job is to connect them into a story.
--Who could be potential candidates--
We care more about curiosity and common sense than fancy degrees.
You could be a finance graduate, an engineer, a self taught investor, or someone who simply became obsessed with understanding businesses. What matters is that you: • Are curious about companies and stocks • Get things done without waiting to be told every step • Are straightforward, honest, and intellectually curious • Love learning about businesses and markets • Can communicate clearly in English • Have the discipline to dig deeper when something does not make sense • Want to think like a long term business owner rather than a short term trader
--What We’re Looking For--
• Strong interest in the stock market and aptitude for finance is a must • You have bought and held stocks and felt the pain when things went wrong • You understand that investing is tough when real money is on the line • You want to be on the other side of that decision, helping investors make better decisions • Common sense matters more than fancy qualifications • Curious, disciplined, honest, and willing to learn We can teach finance. We cannot teach curiosity and common sense.
--The First Three Months--
The first 3 months are a probation period. We will work closely together and see whether the fit works for both sides. You will learn our approach to business research, financial analysis, valuation, and Sleep Well Investing. At the same time, we will see how you think, how deeply you investigate, and whether you take ownership of your work.
