Role Description The Embroidery Designer will work on-site in Mumbai, translating design concepts into detailed embroidery artworks for garments. Day-to-day responsibilities include sketching motifs, developing embroidery layouts, developing stitches and techniques, and preparing design specifications for sampling and production. The role involves close collaboration with our pattern maker, artisans, and other designers to ensure the embroidery aligns with brand aes
thetics.
Qualifications
Ability to conceptualize and develop original embroidery designs, including motif creation, layout planning, and color coordination.
Previous industry experience in an Export House.
Knowledge of traditional and contemporary embroidery techniques, stitches, threads, and embellishments, with an eye for fine craftsmanship.
Proficiency in basic design software (such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop) is beneficial for developing and refining embroidery artwork.
Formal education in fashion design, textile design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in embroidery and surface design.
