Operations Executive – General Insurance

Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Insurance Back Office Executive to support the end-to-end processing and coordination of insurance-related activities. The role will involve handling RFPs, preparing quotations and proposals, coordinating claims and documentation, and liaising with insurance companies and LIC offices for smooth processing and follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
RFP Management: Coordinate and prepare responses to RFPs, tenders, and insurance-related requirements.
Quotation Preparation: Prepare and coordinate insurance quotations based on client requirements, insurer terms, and product specifications.
Proposal Processing: Prepare, verify, and submit insurance proposals along with all required documents and information.
Claims Coordination: Assist in claim registration, documentation, follow-ups, and coordination with insurers and clients until closure.
Policy Documentation: Ensure accurate maintenance and processing of policy-related documents, forms, endorsements, renewals, and records.
Insurance Company Coordination: Liaise with insurance companies, intermediaries, and relevant teams for quotations, policy issuance, endorsements, claims, and other requirements.
LIC Office Visits: Visit LIC/insurance offices whenever required for submission of documents, follow-ups, claim-related matters, policy servicing, and other operational requirements.
Client Coordination: Coordinate with clients for collecting required documents, clarifications, proposal forms, and other information.
Follow-ups: Track pending quotations, proposals, policy issuance, claims, renewals, and documentation to ensure timely closure.
Data & MIS: Maintain accurate records of policies, claims, quotations, proposals, and other insurance-related transactions; prepare periodic MIS reports.
Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all documentation and processes are completed accurately and within stipulated timelines.
Desired Skills
Good understanding of insurance products, policies, claims, and documentation
Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Google Workspace
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong follow-up and coordination skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Willingness to travel/visit LIC and insurance offices as required
Ability to work effectively with clients, insurers, and internal teams
Qualification
Graduate in any discipline; candidates with an insurance, finance, commerce, or related background will be preferred.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with prior experience in insurance back office, policy servicing, claims processing, insurance operations, broking, or general insurance will be preferred.rwriting basics, claims processes, and regulatory guidelines.
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and insurance-related software or portals.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Ability to work on-site in New Delhi and collaborate in a team-oriented, compliance-focused environment.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field; experience in general insurance operations is preferred.
Commitment to ethical conduct, customer-centric service, and continuous learning in the financial services sector.
