Site Engineer – Solar

Role Description The Site Engineer – Solar is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City, responsible for supervising and executing solar project activities at installation locations. Daily tasks include overseeing civil and structural works, coordinating with contractors and technicians, monitoring installation progress, and ensuring that all construction and mounting structures meet design specifications and quality standards. The role involves conducting site inspections, verifying material usage, maintaining project documentation, and enforcing safety protocols. The Site Engineer will liaise with project managers, clients, and vendors to resolve technical issues, support commissioning activities, and ensure timely completion of projects. This position requires regular field presence, hands-on problem-solving, and clear communication with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Strong on-site supervision skills with experience managing solar or related construction activities.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with teams, contractors, and clients.
Knowledge of quality control processes and standards in construction and solar installations.
Background in structural engineering principles relevant to mounting structures and foundations.
Education or experience as a civil engineer or in a closely related engineering discipline.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field preferred.
Familiarity with solar PV systems, site layout, and basic electrical concepts is beneficial.
Ability to read engineering drawings, use basic project management tools, and maintain accurate site reports.
Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and environmentally responsible practices.
Willingness to work in outdoor conditions and travel to sites within and around Pune as needed.
