Role Description This part-time remote IT Security Analyst role at SD Recursos Humanos focuses on monitoring, analyzing, and improving the security posture of client environments. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing security alerts and logs, identifying potential threats, and escalating or remediating incidents following established procedures. The IT Security Analyst will assess vulnerabilities in networks and applications, contribute to security configuration standards, and support the implementation of security controls and policies. The role also involves preparing concise security reports, collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to address risks, and staying current on emerging threats and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks.
Solid understanding of Network Security principles and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention, and secure network architecture.
Experience with Application Security, including secure coding concepts, vulnerability assessment, and common application-layer threats.
General proficiency in Information Technology, including operating systems, cloud environments, and endpoint management tools.
Relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP or equivalent) is beneficial.
Ability to analyze technical data, write clear documentation, and communicate security issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Previous experience in an IT security, SOC, or risk management role is an advantage.
