Role Description The Senior Political Researcher is a full-time, on-site role based in Panaji, responsible for leading research that informs political communication and campaign strategy. This role involves designing and executing qualitative and quantitative research projects, including voter sentiment analysis, issue mapping, and audience profiling. The Senior Political Researcher will synthesize polling data, media monitoring, and social listening insights into clear, actionable recommendations for campaign teams, strategists, and creative partners. Day-to-day tasks include drafting research briefs, managing data collection, analyzing trends, preparing reports and presentations, and collaborating closely with political communications, intelligence & analytics, and narrative teams to align findings with messaging and overall campaign objectives. The role also includes mentoring junior researchers, ensuring methodological rigor, and staying current with political developments and research best practices in relevant regions.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in political research and analysis, including voter behavior, public opinion, and campaign dynamics.
Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as surveys, focus groups, interviews, and secondary research.
Ability to analyze and interpret data using tools for statistics, visualization, and reporting, and to translate insights into strategic recommendations.
Experience working within political communications, advocacy, or public affairs environments, preferably with campaign or consultancy exposure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports, briefs, and presentations for non-technical audiences.
Strong project management skills, including planning research timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering outputs under tight deadlines.
High level of critical thinking, attention to detail, and ethical judgment when dealing with sensitive political information.
Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and work on-site in Panaji with stakeholders across strategy, creative, and analytics.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field.
