About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer (Python) to join our engineering team and work on backend services, APIs, automation, and integration solutions for a large-scale enterprise analytics platform.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Python backend development, REST APIs, automation, and AWS services, with the ability to build scalable solutions and support production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services and applications.
Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend components.
Build and maintain automation workflows and enterprise integration solutions.
Own and enhance automated email/notification workflows and related backend processes.
Develop scheduled and event-driven workflows using Apache Airflow and other automation tools.
Work with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, and S3.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely fixes and enhancements.
Optimize backend services for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with data engineers, frontend developers, and other technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

Requirements
5+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
Strong hands-on expertise in Python and backend application development.
Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
Experience building automation and integration solutions.
Good understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development.
Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, SQS, and S3.
Experience supporting and troubleshooting production applications.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Willingness to work on-site from Mumbai.
Good to Have
Experience working with large-scale enterprise analytics platforms.
Exposure to Oil & Gas or other enterprise domains.
Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing.
Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-native application development.
Experience with automated notification or email delivery systems.
