Signal Integrity Engineer - 174234 - 174716

Piper Companies is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to support high-speed interconnect, connector, and data transmission technologies throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through production. This individual will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, failure analysis, and global cross-functional teams to investigate signal integrity issues, perform root cause analysis, and support validation and testing activities for high-speed systems. This is a full-time opportunity and the individual may sit remote within the US, with flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones and travel internationally as needed.
Responsibilities for the Signal Integrity Engineer include:
Support customer system development and engineering activities from concept through production.
Develop and execute integration, validation, and test strategies for new product introductions.
Investigate signal integrity and SerDes-related issues through test data analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause identification.
Review manufacturing and test results to determine failure mechanisms and recommend corrective actions.
Design, evaluate, and improve high-speed test platforms, circuit boards, and measurement systems.
Apply signal integrity, transmission line, and high-speed digital design principles to support product development and production efforts.
Qualifications for the Signal Integrity Engineer include:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering preferred.
3+ years of industry experience with signal integrity engineering, high-speed digital systems, or related electrical engineering disciplines.
Strong hands-on experience with SerDes technologies, channel analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with signal integrity measurements using TDRs, VNAs, pattern generators, BER testers, oscilloscopes, and related laboratory equipment.
Experience with signal integrity simulation and analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, ADS, HSPICE, MATLAB, or similar platforms.
Background supporting manufacturing, production, validation, or failure analysis activities is highly preferred.
Experience with high-speed connectors, cable assemblies, interconnects, or communications equipment is a plus.
Ability to travel internationally and collaborate with global manufacturing and engineering teams across multiple time zones, including regular interaction with teams based in China.
Compensation for the Signal Integrity Engineer includes:
Salary range: $120,000 - $160,000
