WordPress Backend Developer

We are hiring a full-time WordPress Backend Developer to join our remote team. You will collaborate with designers, content teams, marketing specialists, and other developers to transform requirements and designs into functional, high-performing websites.
What you will be doing:
Driving hands-on development in WordPress, building custom features for both basic and advanced requirements.
Leading technical projects: gathering requirements, defining project scopes, and providing accurate estimations.
Integrating third-party APIs and external services securely.
Optimizing page loading speeds, Core Web Vitals, and overall website performance across all devices.
Supporting SEO-friendly website architecture.
Automating solutions and maintaining clean version control workflows using Git.
Continuously learning, adapting, and growing within the role.
What we expect from you:
4+ years of professional experience as a WordPress Developer.
Expert understanding of WordPress architecture, REST APIs, and its broader ecosystem.
Deep expertise in Gutenberg: ability to develop modular custom blocks using React.js and modern JavaScript.
Hands-on experience across the full stack (PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript).
Familiarity with the architecture and functionality of Elementor or similar page builders.
Proven experience customizing plugins and themes.
A strong grasp of web application security and performance fundamentals.
Comfort using AI assistance to maximize your daily productivity.
The ability to write and maintain clear technical documentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and strict attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Good to have:
Proficiency in modern development workflows (Composer, npm/webpack, CI/CD, Docker/LocalWP).
Experience with Full Site Editing (FSE) and WordPress Block themes.
A track record of independently leading projects and guiding fellow team members in a remote environment.
A proactive mindset to stay current with WordPress releases, frontend concepts, and industry trends.
Experience building automations and migrations

Work Setup: 100% Remote. You need a reliable internet connection to work effectively from home.
