WordPress Frontend Developer

We are looking for a passionate front-end developer to join our Development team. You will collaborate with designers, developers, QA engineers, and technical writers to build agency client projects. The role involves implementing responsive designs, integrating with backend systems, and optimizing frontend performance.
What you will be doing:
Engineer responsive front-end layouts by translating Figma UI designs into production-ready WordPress environments.
Execute site builds utilizing Elementor while strictly adhering to agency DOM optimization and structural guidelines.
Develop custom Gutenberg blocks (React/JSX) and specific theme functions for projects that exceed Elementor's native capabilities.
Configure custom post types, taxonomies, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to bind back-end data to front-end templates.
Interface directly with the Design team via Figma to ensure high-fidelity design translation and escalate UI functionality edge cases.
Standardize and document reusable Elementor templates and custom code blocks to scale efficiency across the agency's client portfolio.
Ensure all development supports SEO-friendly website architecture and optimization.
Use Git and version control strictly for all development workflows.
Handle both basic and advanced requirements directly within WordPress.
What we expect from you / Required Skills:
4+ years of experience as a WordPress Frontend Developer.
Solid proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/SCSS), and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
Hands-on experience building pixel-perfect UI/UX following WordPress standards.
Expert-level understanding of Elementor, including global design systems and dynamic content mapping.
Practical experience with a JS framework like ReactJS.
Proven ability to execute UI/UX updates in custom plugins and themes.
A strong grasp of web application performance and security fundamentals.
Comfort using AI assistance to maximize your daily productivity.
The ability to write and maintain clear technical documentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and strict attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Good to have:
Experience building and modifying native WordPress block themes (FSE).
Competency in writing optimized PHP for functions.php modifications, custom hooks, and template hierarchy overrides.
Proficiency in modern development workflows (Git, Composer, npm/webpack, and local dev environments like Docker/LocalWP).
Familiarity with backend development concepts.
A track record of independently leading projects and guiding fellow team members in a remote environment.
A proactive mindset to stay current with WordPress releases, frontend concepts, and industry trends.
