Job Description
We are looking for an Android Audio Framework Engineer with strong hands-on experience in C++, Android Audio Framework, and AOSP.
Mandatory Skills
Strong hands-on experience in Android Audio Framework using C++
Hands-on experience with Android Audio Framework / AOSP Audio
Hands-on experience working with AOSP source code
Experience with key Android Audio components such as:
AudioFlinger
AudioPolicy / AudioPolicyManager
AudioService / AudioManager
AudioFocus & Audio Routing
AudioTrack / AudioRecord
Audio HAL
Strong understanding of C++, OOP, Multithreading, Synchronization, IPC/Binder, and AIDL
Good knowledge of Linux and command-line debugging
Hands-on experience with ADB, Logcat, Dumpsys, Bugreport, GDB, and Android traces
Experience with Git/Gerrit
Ability to debug issues across Android Framework → Native Audio Framework → Audio HAL
Good to Have
Good working knowledge of Java
Understanding of Android Framework and system architecture
Experience with Android Automotive / IVI
Knowledge of ALSA / Tiny ALSA
Experience with HIDL/AIDL-based HAL
