Roles are mainly remote (MUST BE BASED IN BULGARIA) with expected travel to office in Sofia twice per month.
Mid level: salary up to €37,700 Gross + 10% Bonus + full benefits package
Senior: salary up to 49,200 Gross + 10% Bonus + full benefits package
Build the Data Platform Powering a Global Information Business
We are looking for passionate and driven Mid and Senior Data Engineers to join our growing Data Architecture, Engineering & AI team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a modern cloud data stack, leveraging Snowflake, dbt, Python, Dagster, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, and AI-powered development tools to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions across the business.
You'll play a key role in designing and maintaining data pipelines, enabling trustworthy analytics, and helping drive our DataOps-first culture.
What You'll Do
✅ Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines from a variety of source systems
✅ Transform and model data using dbt across multiple data layers
✅ Develop Python-based integrations and custom connectors
✅ Build reliable, tested, and monitored data products for analytics and reporting
✅ Implement automated data quality controls, validations, alerting, and observability
✅ Work with Dagster for orchestration and pipeline management
✅ Manage CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions
✅ Operate within a modern Snowflake environment
✅ Apply DataOps principles and a code-first engineering mindset
✅ Leverage AI tools such as Anthropic Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Snowflake Cortex AI to accelerate delivery and improve quality
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills
✔ Strong SQL expertise with Snowflake experience (mandatory)
✔ Advanced Python skills and experience building data pipelines
✔ Hands-on experience with DBT
✔ Experience with orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect
✔ ELT/ETL tooling experience (Fivetran, Airbyte, or similar)
✔ Experience with APIs, JSON processing, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
✔ Git, CI/CD, and software engineering best practices
✔ Strong understanding of data modelling and warehouse design
Nice to Have

➕ Event streaming technologies such as Kafka
