OUR VISION
When people use our technology to "bridge the gap" between the physical and digital worlds, they don’t just capture reality - they create a new one. In this new reality, they are smarter, more productive, more streamlined, and more creative - because they have the digital foundation to build the world they want to live in.
That’s what NavVis offers in all our products and services: the tools to not just map the world as it is, but to pave the way to a better future. To forge something new. Physical or digital, there is only one reality. And it’s the reality NavVis empowers people to build better.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you ready to join our Mapping & Perception team, tackle exciting challenges, and bring our software to the next level?
Imagine being a part of a team, where you collaborate with experienced engineers to improve our software and components that power our mobile mapping systems.
We are transforming our spatial technology by developing cutting-edge solutions to create realistic 3D representations of our environment, such as floor plans, point clouds, and panoramic images. Our passion for our technology paired with our international environment drives our fundamental mission - to bridge the gap between the physical and digital world.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Development of SLAM algorithms at the core of our mapping devices.
Systematic evaluation of accuracy, robustness and the performance of algorithms and sensors.
The processing pipeline from raw sensor data to the generation of point clouds and maps.
Continuous improvement of automated tests and automated delivery of software.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE
A Master's degree or PhD in computer science or a similar field, ideally with a specialization in robotics and / or Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM).
3-5 years of hands-on experience with professional software development (ideally using modern C++ and Python).
A solid foundation in mathematical concepts of geometry and optimization.
The drive to stay up-to-date on latest advances in robotics, SLAM and software development.
A preference for systematic data-driven experimentation and technology development.
You are:
Creative thinker and a strong problem solver.
A great communicator and team player.
