The business
A mid-sized distributor of industrial supplies, serving customers across three states, has partnered with Flexiple to hire an Operations Manager for its expanding warehouse and dispatch network. The business has grown from one hub to four in under three years, and the systems that worked for one location are starting to strain across four. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps companies like this build strong operating teams in India, and this is a direct, long-term placement with the client.
Where you come in
You will take ownership of day-to-day operations across the distributor's warehouses and dispatch points: inbound stock, order fulfilment, vendor coordination, and the handoffs between sales, warehouse, and finance that currently rely on phone calls and spreadsheets.
The day-to-day
Standardise receiving, put-away, and dispatch processes across all four locations
Own vendor and transporter coordination, including delivery timelines and exceptions
Build and run daily and weekly operating reviews with warehouse leads
Track fill rates, order-cycle time, and inventory accuracy, and fix what is slipping
Coordinate with sales and finance on order status, credit holds, and collections follow-up
What we need
You have spent 5 to 9 years running multi-location operations — a distribution business, a warehousing operation, or a manufacturing plant with more than one site — and you are comfortable being the person who notices a process breaking before it becomes a customer complaint. You work well with spreadsheets and ERP systems, you write things down so they do not have to be explained twice, and you are equally at home talking to a warehouse supervisor and a regional sales head. English communication is clear, and you are set up to travel between warehouse sites as needed.
